Notice of Public Information Workshop and Availability of Draft Year 2017 and 2022 Noise Exposure Maps (NEMs)

The City of Atlanta/Department of Aviation (DOA) announces the availability of the Draft Year 2017 and 2022 NEMs for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.  The NEMs were prepared in accordance with Title 14, Part 150 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR 150).  The methodologies used to prepare the NEMs are documented in a report that will be available for public review beginning September 28, 2017 at the following locations:

The DOA will briefly describe the methodologies used to prepare the NEMs at a public information workshop on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the DOA’s Technical Support Campus, 1255 South Loop Road, College Park, Georgia. The presentation will be given at 6:00 p.m. and repeated at 7:00 p.m. Complimentary parking will be provided.

The DOA is inviting public comment on the Draft NEMs. Public comments may be submitted in writing, given verbally to a court reporter at the workshop, or emailed to NEMComments@kbenv.com. All comments must be submitted by November 10, 2017.
