The ATLNext Capital Improvement Program is a massive multi-billion initiative at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world’s busiest and most efficient airport. This ambitious program is led by Franklin Rucker, the Senior Deputy General Manager of ATL, and is executed by a team of dedicated Department of Aviation staff and highly skilled contractors. Their collective expertise spans aviation development, project management, and construction management. Franklin Rucker is also responsible for the ATLNext Support Services that include: Program Management, Document Controls, Contract Management, Facility & Project Emergency Response and Operational Readiness and Transition (ORAT).
The program is built on three key pillars: Capacity Increases, Customer Service, and Renewal and Replacement. The Capacity Increases pillar is a response to the long-term growth forecast at ATL, necessitating the construction of additional facilities to accommodate this expansion. The Customer Service pillar aligns with ATL’s vision to be a global leader in airport efficiency and exceptional customer service. Lastly, the Renewal and Replacement pillar is a proactive approach to maintaining existing facilities through the replacement of critical systems and infrastructure.
In essence, ATLNext is a comprehensive and forward-thinking program that aims to enhance the Airport’s capacity, customer service, and infrastructure, ensuring its continued status as a world-leading Airport.
