Overnight Lane Closures Begin Tonight as ATLNext Construction Continues

Closures will have little to no impact on ATL traffic.

As part of the ongoing ATLNext construction projects at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), preparation for the installation of canopies across the North and South roadways will require the overnight closure of additional lanes of traffic beginning tonight. A portion of the North outer roadway will be closed shortly after 9 p.m. and will reopen at 5 a.m. each morning. This closure is required to allow for modifications to the North Parking garage and for drilling to anchor the North canopy. One lane of the Lower North outer roadway is already closed. This phase of construction is expected to continue through mid-April.

Drivers using the North roadway will be diverted to lanes closest to Domestic Terminal North. Additional Atlanta police officers will be on duty to help ensure smooth traffic flow. Travelers should see little to no impact on ATL operations.

Vehicle access to the North Parking garage remains unchanged. Pedestrian access to the North Parking garage will be limited to one walkway directly across from door N3; however, ample wayfinding signage will direct travelers to the proper walkway.
